  • ✦ All artists require different information for booking requests. It is very important to be familiar with my booking requirements and not miss a detail if you are looking to book with me!

✦ Please be sure to figure out what you’re looking to get. The bare minimum is the subject matter.

✦ If you know or label yourself as “picky” (like I do), it’s good to make a note of all the things that you really want to be included in your piece. I can be of guidance even if you’re not 100% sure. I will give you my best opinion on what works and what options we have. It is a COLLABORATIVE effort! Your voice matters.

✦ I prefer details to be straight to the point, bullet points can also help with organization!

✦ Saying that you want something “exactly” like a certain photo usually deters artists from taking your booking request

✦ If you want to be on time when bookings open, you can also prepare an email and set up a date and time for it to send (I know this works with Gmail)!

  • ✦ For the photos you send of the placement you want the tattoo to be on, it is best to take them in good lighting.

✦ Having a friend help you out by taking those pictures would be great!

✦ Prop your phone up on a desk or on the floor (depending on placement). Set the camera setting to a timer (your choice) and then just stand there. If it’s on the side then stand facing away from the camera. No twisting the body, just standing! You can get some good angles. How you stand vs sit creates a different shape for the body. If you can be specific, you can markup the photo and circle the placement!

✦ For more intimate placements, you do not need to be undressed. All I really need is the shape/silhouette to help guide the piece! Unless there’s another tattoo there… but crop out/censor what I don’t have to see!

✦ Twisting or contorting your body for a “good pic” will only result in a bad pic. Front viewing is good, fancy angles and perspective are not so good.

✦ Please don’t forget your photos!

    Reference Photos:

-Three, please! No less no more! Maybe a fourth if you think I’ll get an even better idea of what you want.

-These photos can be anything. Literally anything. Whatever gets the idea across. My work is cool too for reference :,)

-Photos should be relevant to what you want either in subject matter or in terms of style. If it doesn’t seem like it’s relevant (for example, you want a cat tattoo but you send me pictures of flower tattoos as reference photos), it would help a lot if you could explain why it’s something you like or if there’s anything from it that you want to be applied into your tattoo.

  • ✦ When describing a placement for a tattoo, you can use terms like “bicep” “shin” and “elbow pit” instead of using directional cues! It will take me a lot longer if you said “upper side around the head left of the ear”. I made that up, it doesn’t exist. Don’t think about it. This is why pictures are important!

✦ When it’s the appointment day, please always let me know whether you like the design, the placement, the angle, and everything. I will encourage what is best as well as honor and value your opinion.

✦ PLEASE let me know if you are sick and reschedule your appointment.

  • ✦Do not take any oral antibiotics (I may suggest a reschedule if it conflicts with health)

✦Eat a meal prior to your appointment time

    ✦Be Well-rested

✦No heavy alcohol the night before

✦Applying lotion daily helps with the health of your skin & is good to do so throughout the week before your appointment. Try not to do so the day of!

    ✦Be familiar with your artist’s faq/studio location/policies

✦If you want to use numbing cream, make sure to read the instructions on the product and ask your tattoo artist beforehand. I am okay with clients using numbing cream, other artists may not!

    ✦Buy aftercare products beforehand

✦If you have any questions or concerns before, during, or after the tattoo appointment, please do not hesitate to let me know as I will try to answer everything to the best of my ability. This is your tattoo and is made with the hopes that you will enjoy it.

✦If you need a break, do not hesitate to ask for one. If you need to use the bathroom, need water, or need a moment, please do so!

  • ✦Arrive in clothing that makes the tattoo placement easily accessible (or bring a change of clothes). Please don’t wear anything you care about as ink may stain the article of clothing.
